Womb massage 1

Womb massage

The womb is not a place to store fear and pain, the womb is to create and give birth to life.

Womb massage 2

Perhaps one of these statements speaks to you?

Many women suffer with painful and heavy periods and 10% of women worldwide have endometriosis*, although most will go undiagnosed or wait many years to get a diagnosis.

IBS affects one in every ten* people in the UK and can be debilitating to manage.

30% of infertility issues are unexplained* or have no root cause, leaving individuals and couples feeling frustrated and alone.

Women and people with uteruses who have lots of stress in their life are twice* as likely to experience painful bleeding.

Considering these issues, we may begin to see why our emotional lives can have a direct effect on our wombs or womb spaces.

Information about womb massage

How can womb massage help?

Womb healing massage looks at the womb as an energy centre, it is a holistic therapy, meaning that the whole body and emotional wellbeing of each individual woman is taken into account. Stress can be held in the body and as women this can cause any of the problems listed above and many more.

A womb massage is a slow and gentle massage that physically works in a similar way to deep tissue massage and energetically to reiki by applying precise massage movements at energy centres around the womb space to unlock and unblock areas of stored or stagnant energy. This can be felt by the therapist as hard or lumpy tissue and can be felt by the client as an emotional, physical or energetic release.

The lower back and the abdominal area are both worked on during this therapy, however, care and consent are of most importance especially when treating women who are seeking healing for trauma.

What is involved in a womb massage?

As each person is individual, Hayley ensures that each client feels fully supported. Womb healing therapy consists of three separate treatments. The first would be on the front of the body, the second on the back and the third to work over both areas, concentrating on the required areas of healing and places of tension.

The initial appointment is 2 hours and gives time for a thorough and complete understanding of the clients needs and aims. The next two appointments are 1.5 hours with time for a brief assessment of symptoms and progress before body work begins. Each appointment is charged at £60.

People who are looking to better manage chronic womb and related symptoms, the recommended treatment would be every month and would be worked around their menstrual cycle for 4 to 6 months.

For people trying to conceive, this would be worked around the menstrual cycle and would be a monthly appointment for the minimum of 6 months.

After care

You may feel emotional after a womb massage, this is not unusual and as part of the treatment I am available to offer support or answer any concerns or questions that you may have.

It is important to look after yourself after treatment, drink plenty of spring water and nourishing food. Avoid alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours.

I want to Fi for a pregnancy massage and it was incredible. I was suffering with painful back and shoulders as well as needing vital relaxation. Fi took the time to listen and understand my needs, was thorough and thoughtful in her approach. Her knowledge and passion around pregnancy and post natal care is incredible. I felt cared for and safe at all times. From giving me the time to get myself together pre massage, to the cleverly placed pillows for additional comfort and the time post massage. Nothing ever felt rushed or hurried. The massage itself was one of the best I've had (and I've had many). My comfort was considered through out and the environment was so cosy. It was exactly what I needed to help me reset and face the oncoming pregnancy challenges in a positive state of mind.I will definately be going back for my post natal care package 🙂
